Reflecting upon the figures I cherished the most, I feel a sense of guilt for growing up and leaving behind the stuffed animals I cared for obsessively. Each one had a personality and a variety of needs that I was responsible for, all living in my bedroom and growing up with me. Despite feeling separated from a sense of childhood innocence, these relationships are framed within my memory and preserve an empathy for those that inhabit this space.
