While his previous work takes the perspective of interior spaces and domestic structures, themes of co-inhabited environments and universal needs have evolved to reflect his developing understanding of overarching conflicts that undermine the necessities of sustainable life.

A recent graduate of the Gwen Frostic School of Art at Western Michigan University, Converse obtained a B.F.A with an emphasis in Printmedia in December 2022. Since graduating, Converse has worked as Lead Preparator helping to organize and manage rotating exhibition spaces at the Richmond Center for Visual Arts. Converse is also the recipient of the Post Baccalaureate Fellow in Art at Kalamazoo College and continues to explore the abundant art scenes present in Kalamazoo.
