The Stone Tape theory suggests that the energy discharged during emotional or traumatic events can be recorded by physical objects or structures. Like a tape recording, these memories are projected from the impression left upon the space, appearing as a spectral being, apparition, or a ghost. As I am currently in the process of moving into an older home, I have found myself speculating on the nature of this residual energy, wondering about the past lives that played out in this space before my arrival and if any of them still remain.
